- War Memorial Plaque Unveiling Ceremony -

On 11 November 2013, Temple Lodge, No. 33 laid a wreath on the Duncan Cenataph in Charles Hoey Park and then held a short ceremony to unveil a new War Memorial Plaque on the Duncan Masonic Temple honouring the four Brethren of Temple Lodge, No. 33 who died in the service of Canada in the First World War. Here are some photos of these events:

RWB Bob Crawford (Secretary of Temple Lodge) and WB Mark Anderson (WM of Temple Lodge) explain the new, soon to be unveiled, War Memorial Plaque to local historian Tom (T.W.) Paterson (in black hat and denim jacket). T.W. Paterson has written several articles about deceased Temple Lodge Brethren in his weekly local history column in the Cowichan Valley Citizen. In the 9 November 2013 issue of the Cowichan Valley Citizen, he wrote an article about our unveiling ceremony and the four Brethren it commemorates.
