Brother Arthur Page first appears in Temple Lodge, No. 33 records as a Master Mason in 1921. He remained a member of Temple Lodge until his death in 1928.

Brother Page was a baker who operated The City Bakery in Duncan. The VIMHP will do more research to determine where this business was located and whether the building it occupied is still standing.

“Page – There was a large attendance at the funeral of the late Mr. Arthur Page on Saturday afternoon and a wealth of beautiful flowers was placed upon the coffin.  Service by the Christian Science Society was held at the Brockway Funeral Parlour, Mr. P. Michelin, local leader, officiating.

At Mountain View Cemetery, where interment took place, Temple Lodge, No. 33, A.F. & A.M. had charge of the burial service. Mr. W.B. Harper, W.M. , officiated. The pallbearers were Messrs. H.W. Dickie, J. Dick, P. Campbell, J.F. Turnbull, A.J. Brownsey and R. Cummins.

Mr. Page came to this district in 1911 and had been engaged in the baking trade since. Prior to that he was a master mariner. It is interesting to note that the vessel upon which Mr. Page was second mate was the same at that on which Mr. Ed. Forrest, Hillbank, had served his apprenticeship many years earlier.”
