At present we don't know a lot about Bro. Harry Osborn Welburn apart from this reference to his Masonic funeral which we found in our Lodge Minute Book regarding an Emergency Meeting called on 22 January 191 for the purpose of conducting his funeral. That entry is as follows:
“...The Wor. Master announced that the Emergency Communication had been called by him for the purpose of carrying out the last wishes and attending to the burial of our late Bro. H.O. Welburn and immediately proceeded with the Burial Service and the Wor. Master deposited with the Bro. Secy. For deposit in the Archives of the Lodge a roll inscribed thereon as follows:
Harry Osborn Welburn
Born at [left blank in original]
Made a Master Mason on the 11th day of July 1877 in Denison Lodge, No. 1248, Scarborough, Eng.,
Died in the Convalescent Home & Emergency Hospital,.
A procession was then formed and the remains of our late Bro. Welburn borne away and tenderly laid to rest with the solemn formalities and ceremonies of the institution in the cemetery at St. Peter’s Church Quamichan...................”
