The Wragg Building was designed and built circa 1928 by local architect Douglas James as a revenue property for James Chesterfield Wragg, who was not a member of Temple Lodge, No. 33 but a member of Malahat Lodge, No. 107, A.F. & A.M. in Mill Bay, B.C.
James Chesterfield Wragg also owed a bakery at 211 Craig Street, housed in building also designed by Douglas James. We are aware of several buildings in Duncan designed by Douglas James for Temple Lodge, No.33 members.
